Overview

SiteHost is the company where I currently work, and it is one of the most prestigious hosting providers in New Zealand. One of the first tasks assigned to me was to learn how to develop websites from scratch using modern technologies and optimizing the site to meet high standards of optimization, SEO best practices, development, and conversion. Additionally, I worked closely with the marketing team to reflect the modern technology used in their operations and to keep the site up-to-date. I am very proud of what we achieved together as a team.

The problem

The old company website failed to properly highlight their modernizations and improvements, and was built on an outdated platform that was difficult to navigate and manage.

The goal

The main goal was to create a modern, fast, and easy-to-use website from scratch using modern development tools such as Statamic and TailwindCSS, while following best practices and content optimization standards. The resulting website is easy for the marketing team to maintain and update."

Overview

Estadio CDF is a webOS application designed for TVs and also works on desktop. The app allows users to access the Football Channel's live and on-demand (VOD) content via streaming. The app was optimised for smart TVs, making it more accessible and remote control friendly. In addition, Estadio CDF offers a wider range of sports content, including live matches and exclusive programming, making it a valuable resource for fans.

The problem

The main problem at the start of the project was that the application had very limited functionality, and only worked properly on desktop, was confusing and did not have a navigation interface optimised for smart TVs.

The goal

The goal of the redesign was to create an attractive and functional interface for TVs that would adapt the controls to the limitations of the device and showcase the new identity of the sports TV channel. To achieve this, I focused on simplifying navigation and improving the user experience, making the most important functions and content easily accessible. I also paid close attention to the visual design, creating a cohesive and visually appealing look and feel that accurately reflected the new brand identity.

Social video - TradeMe Jobs

Overview

The Trade Me Jobs team approached the agency where I was working to develop a content strategy that included the creation of a series of three videos showcasing local businesses. These videos were intended to be shared on Trade Me's social media accounts and needed to be consistent with the brand's style and tone. For this project, I took on the role of video editor and motion graphic designer, utilizing my skills in these areas to bring the vision for the videos to life.

The problem

The style and tone of the videos needed to be consistent across all three in order to give the sense of a cohesive series and to adhere to the strong graphic guidelines of the brand.

The goal

To achieve this, we closely followed the brand's guidelines and worked closely with the Trade Me Jobs team to ensure that the videos accurately reflected the brand's desired aesthetic and messaging. We also paid attention to the overall flow and structure of the videos, ensuring that they were visually appealing and easy for the audience to follow.
